Snack attack

 Kia Ora my name is kingi, i'm 12 years old and i am a year 8 student. This is my first blog post for 2021. We have been learning about personifications, metaphors,similes and adverbs. We had to watch a short movie and then write our own narrative on it. Here is my story.

Free writing

For the past 2 terms we have been going to technology every Thursday. some rules we have you have to wear closed shoes and no bubble gum.

we have learnt how to make a list of things that I cant think of at the moment.

In cooking we learnt how to measure butter milk and other things.

I also learnt how to make chocolate balls and they were so nice they tasted like chocolate melting in my mouth

My favourite thing to do at tech was to do sewing class because of the things we made during that day cause we made pillows and i made a camo cause it had my favourite colour in it.

Tech is pretty cool because i like all the work i produce and i learn new things like it was my first time how to use machines for wood and how to sew.

                                                  we were learning simple sentence in te reo we found it difficult                                                                    because we keep messing up. our task was to make a video of                                                                         us that happen in the weekend but in moari. Next time i will make a video                                                      on sreencastify so I can share it and yous can watch it.

For reading we read the story Child of Aotearoa by Melanie Drewery. We got to choose an activity that connected to the story in some way. I chose to make a family tree and write an explanation of where my parents stayed before they met and after they met,m also where they stay now.

Coding with Scratch

We are learning how to code using stratch. Our task was to make a chasing game. It was hard because i haven't had experience in this. Next time i will learn how to  move my characters to where they needed to be so my game is better.
